I’ve been wanting to do some kind of piece of the Hover Tank from 2nd Robotech war (amine was named Southern Cross in Japan). Even the though that series isn't even close to being the fan favorite I was always a fan of the Hover Tank mech (although the "tank mode" was the walker and the hover mode was just the "transport mode"

). I want to do some fan art but the original design is severely lacking in detail, especially in how the arm joints work. I knew I was going to have to gussy up the design before I could proceed with an illustration. I had fun with it XD

I just got the big 17 disc Robotech box set a while ago... workin' my way through it is fun! I used to build hovertanks with lego when I was a young 'un.
