So I wanted to get some more drawing done today but I have been sick since last Thursday with some kind of stuffy head cold or some such. The cold medicine is working but it’s just been dragging me down the whole weekend and I can’t really get anything done that I want to. Ughhh I just want to go back to normal. :p I had planned on doing some pre drawings for some paintings but instead I just decided to sketch, as I would feel at least a little productive, and watch Monday Night Football. Pretty good game actually, if I can’t root for my Broncos then I can always watch some Steelers ball. :D

So I guess I wanted to design my own Metal Gear when I got to sketching. It’s a transforming model much like the Shagohod but it only turns into a tank with treads and back to a bi pedal robot. I'll do a ver of it in the "Tank" mode tomorrow when I feel better.

I always remembered it being mentioned in the Metal Gear Solid 2 that there were other “boot leg” permutations of Metal Gears being produced around the world so I just wanted to play around with that idea. Just having some fun. I think I will dub it “METAL GEAR KAPPA”

Very cool idea, and very well executed! Love the idea of a bootlegged metal gear. Agree w/ others that you nailed the style. Really nailed it. Love the Rex/Shagohod combo vibe.

Yeah you would think I would just be happy with the giant robot, but you get a tank as well. I guess I'm spoiled by the three modes of the valkries in Macross.
