You guys may remember this one in it's former permutation. I'm planning on doing more digital work in the future so I'm just practicing some new painting techniques and effects on the line work I originally used in this image

I still need to get a bigger Wacom pad and Photoshop or illustrator it I want to do some more detailed work in the future as the Photoshop elements 6 that I used to make this is very limited. Still it's a good enough to practice on for now I guess.

Special thank to :iconkisssh0t: for the help with the color shift....I know you must be like "Damn it if I do this stupid effect one more time!!!!" LOL

So gorgeous!
I just think that the light spot on the backside of her lips makes her face look a little squished.
And if you make her pupils a perfect solid black they'll seem more focused.
Bright triangle in her left eye seems like it would be darker.

I only critique cause your work gives me such a great feeling!

No worries man! I still have a lot of things to learn with the digital, but I was glad with how this one turned out. I want to get a better program for digital painting as I did this with Photoshop Elements 6, which is nice but doesn't have a lot of the type of functions that I would like to explore. Hopefully my brother can get me a copy of CS3 sometime soon.

That's all digital!?
I always assumed you did your drawings in pencil.
You're getting a really natural look if it's all digital!:)

Yeah the lines are done with pen but all of the coloring is all digital ^^

I don't think you need to worry about your digital coloring skills.
You're getting this cool watercolor, heavy metal, Moebius thing going on that I wish I could emulate!:)
Maybe just think about lights and darks.
I think there's just minor structural problems with your anatomy.
Do you draw from models? I always do.:)

You would have to see the line art, as there is really nothing wrong with the anatomy. Plus the model who I did use for the drawing is pretty overly exaggerated in her proportions as well. The paint is what throws it off a little in this and I didn't use any model reference for that, but yeah it gets off in the chest and shoulders a little. I'm still figuring out how to gauge that when working digitally. When I'm actually painting I can see things more clearly, where as you have to manually zoom in and out with digital, so sometime I don't remember to zoom out and see what's going on with the work. Also this was just a quick color, it took about 5 hours, so in the future when I plan to do digital work I will for certain space it out over a few days so I can come back and see what's going on and what I need to change more easily.

Ok, as I look at more of your work, I think you're right. Maybe it is the coloring that throws things off a bit.
You're much bolder than I am with you'r body shading, that's good thing, Just might to tweak it a bit.
Never hurts to spend extra time on the inking phase though.
